A NICE NICE CHRISTMAS
Teresa Jennings. Music K-8 18/2. © 2006 Plank Road Publishing, Inc. - All Rights Reserved
I got a hunch that it’s gonna be a nice, nice Christmas this year, yeah yeah yeah!
I got a hunch that it’s gonna be a nice, nice Christmas this year!
Everybody sing fa la la! Everybody sing ho ho ho!
Everybody sing jing-a-ling-a-ling! It’s a nice, nice Christmas!
Me and my friends are hangin’ out. It’s a thing we like to do.
Being together is what it’s about. Merry Christmas to me and you!
I got a hunch that it’s gonna be a nice, nice Christmas this year, yeah yeah yeah!

Peppermint, peppermint candy cane, red and white and sweet.
Tasty candy, you’re so dandy, the perfect holiday treat!

THERE’S SOMEONE IN THE CHIMNEY
Teresa Jennings © 2008 Plank Road Publishing, Inc. • All Rights Reserved
There’s someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney.
Someone in the chimney, listen quick! (spoken solo: Ouch!)
Someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney.
Tell me, do you think it’s old St. Nick? (spoken solo: Oooh... my elbow...)
Well, first I heard it on the house, tap tap tapping like a mouse.
Then I heard it in the wall, thump thump thumping, so I called:
Hey you! (spoken solo: Uh-oh.)
Hey you! (spoken solo, clear throat: Squeak squeak.)
Hey you! (spoken solo: Just us mice in here.)
Is that you, St. Nick? (spoken solo: Mice!)
There’s someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney.
Someone in the chimney, listen quick! (spoken solo: Achoo!)
Someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney.
Tell me, do you think it’s old St. Nick? (spoken solo: I’m getting too old for this.)
Well, first I heard it on the house, tap tap tapping like a mouse.
Then I heard it in the wall, thump thump thumping, so I called:
Hey you! (spoken solo: Raccoons in here.)
Hey you! (spoken solo: Armadillos.)
Hey you! (spoken solo: Land shark.)
Is that you, St. Nick? (spoken solo: No.)
There’s someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney.
Someone in the chimney, listen quick! (spoken solo: Shhh.)
Someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney.
Tell me, do you think it’s old St. Nick? (spoken solo: Wrong.)
Tell me, do you think it’s old St. Nick? (spoken solo: Whatever.)
Tell me, do you think it’s old (spoken solo: Oh, come on.)
Saint (spoken solo: Gimme a break.)
Nick? (spoken solo: I’m trying to work here!)
Is it old St. Nick? (spoken solo, after thud sounds: Owww! Oooohhhhh....Cookies!)

TURN OFF THAT NOSE!
by Teresa Jennings © 2015 Plank Road Publishing, Inc.
Reindeer, may I have a word? This is getting so absurd.
I know that you’re Santa’s pal, and that’s okay.
Even so, there’s something I’ve just got to say:
chorus:
shout: Turn off that nose!
sing: It’s way too bright! You think it’s nice, but it’s not polite.
I’m tryin’ to sleep, but I can’t get a wink.
All because your nose goes and goes, goes and goes
blink blink blink blink blink blink blink blink!
shout: Turn it off!
sing: Blink blink blink blink blink.
shout: Please!
sing:
Reindeer, may I speak to you? Maybe I’m not getting through.
Just because your nose is red and has a glow,
I don’t need to see it bouncing off the snow!
chorus:
shout: Turn off that nose!
sing: It’s way too bright! You think it’s nice, but it’s not polite.
I’m tryin’ to sleep, but I can’t get a wink.
All because your nose goes and goes, goes and goes
blink blink blink blink blink blink blink blink!
shout: Turn it off!
sing: Blink blink blink blink blink.
shout: Please!
sing: Turn off that nose! I can’t stand it!
Turn off that nose! Blink blink blink blink!

Turn off that nose! Blink blink blink!
shout: Turn off that nose! Please!!

SHOULDA BEEN A NORTH POLE ELF
by Andy Beck © 2014 Alfred Music All Rights Reserved
Lately I’ve been spending time thinkin’ about myself.
And I have slowly come to realize that I should-a been a North Pole elf.
Baking cookies, trimming trees, and all the other Christmas stuff,
like hanging mistletoe and candy canes, oh, I just can’t get enough.
That is why I’m hopin’ soon a job will open to work with Santa Claus himself.
There’s no way to deny it, really wanna try it. I should-a been a North Pole elf.
With a hammer and a nail, I’m something of a whiz.
And when it comes to wrapping packages, I’m the very best that there is.
I’d be good at making toys and stringing Christmas lights.
And please forgive me if I start to brag, but I’d probably look good in tights!
That is why I’m hopin’ soon a job will open to work with Santa Claus himself.
There’s no way to deny it, really wanna try it. I should-a been a North Pole elf.
(interlude)
Lately I’ve been spending time thinkin’ about myself.
And I have slowly come to realize that I should-a been a North Pole elf.
spoken: Should-a, would-a, could-a been a North Pole elf!

Ring the bells of Christmas! Ring out loud and true.
Ring the bells of Christmas, may glad tidings come to you.
Ring the bells this holiday. Ring them loud and clear.
Yes, ring the bells of Christmas, and fill the world with Christmas cheer!
Ding! Dong! Ding! Dong! Ring-a-ling-a-ling!
Listen to the magic as the whole world starts to sing!
